The first Texas sized inter-association tournament was a success! Six schools from the Lone Star state descended on to Relson Gracie Cedar Park, in the Peak Performance Martial Arts Facility. The air was mixed with camaraderie and competition, but the mutual respect filled the room. Relson Gracie was in attendance and after speaking on the rules similar to the Gracie Grappling Cup, the games began. There were great matches in Gi and Nogi for both adults and children displayed all afternoon. Great defense and submissions were handed out and at the end of the day, the winners were all that attended and competed. The networking between players from the different schools and being able to roll against different players provided a refreshing change of pace to everyday training. In addition, everybody got a little warm up to the Gracie Grappling Cup happening July 28th in Waco,TX.
Lookout for the next Texas Inter-Association and keep training hard!
