I am so proud of my student's courage!!! I received this awesome testimonial from an emotional, proud parent after receiving a call from her son's principal. I asked if I could share her story. She said, "yes, please do!!!!".........
"Hey Josh!!!! I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching my Anthony to defend himself! I was called today by the principal saying Anthony was in school suspension because he was fighting in gym class. Me knowing my son, I demanded that he look into this situation further and ask other students what really happened because my son is taught to defend himself NOT to attack someone! So he calls me back and says yes in fact Anthony's story checks out the other kid made some story about Anthony hitting him and pushing him. Which after watching a video they have of the gym class showed to be untruthful! He says that the kid got in Anthony's face (Anthony says that the kid punched him in the stomach but there were a lot of kids in the way so he was unable to see that on the video) but said that "Anthony did not attack but just took the kid Down and just held him in some sort of a hold (thanks coach Josh) until the gym coach came to break it up. What's funny is how impressed the principal sounded with watching the rather quick take down. He says "it was rather fast I mean wow less the 5 seconds Anthony just took him down to the ground". So thanks so much! Anthony does not have too many friends since starting middle school this year he is getting picked on and bullied, but NOT TODAY!!!!!"

Way to go Anthony! Thanks for sharing this story with us. This is exactly what parents hope our children would do in this kind of situation and there's nothing to give a parent peace of mind and give a kid confidence like knowing they can defend themselves if needed. Thank you Josh for not only teaching or kids well, but truly caring for them. I feel like bringing our children to RGJJ SA is one of the best parenting decisions we've ever made.
